Mentoring
For the people behind the scenes, making everything happen.
Working in business support and operations is a unique role.
You’re the person bringing structure to ideas, keeping projects moving, solving problems before they become bigger ones and helping businesses grow in a way that feels intentional.
Some days you’re thinking strategically with a CEO. Other days you’re in the detail, keeping everything moving.
It’s varied, rewarding and never quite the same from one week to the next.
But while you’re investing so much time and energy into supporting other people, it’s easy to overlook your own development.
Whether you work in-house, run your own operations business, or support clients as an OBM, VA or Fractional COO, mentoring gives you the space to focus on you.
Why mentoring?
One of the things I love most about working in operations is that there’s always something new to learn. Every client is different. Every business has its own way of working. Every challenge asks something slightly different of you.
That means there’s no playbook with all the answers.
Sometimes you simply need someone who understands the role to help you think things through. Someone who can listen without judgement, ask the right questions, share their perspective and help you look at a situation from a different angle.
That’s what mentoring is.
It’s not about me telling you what to do. It’s about helping you build the confidence to make good decisions, trust your judgement and continue growing in a profession that’s constantly evolving.
A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE
Supporting the people who support everyone else.
I’ve spent over 15 years working behind the scenes in growing businesses.
I know the responsibility that comes with being the trusted second-in-command, and I know how valuable it is to have someone to share ideas with, challenge your thinking and help you see the bigger picture.
That’s what I hope mentoring becomes for you.
the times of being overwhelmed are, well, over!
What we can work on together.
Every mentoring relationship is shaped around you, so there isn’t a fixed agenda.
You might be stepping into your first operations role and want support as you build your confidence.
You might have been doing this for years but want someone to challenge your thinking and help you develop at a more strategic level.
Or perhaps you’re running your own operations business and navigating everything that comes with supporting clients, leading projects and growing your own business at the same time.
Whatever stage you’re at our conversations might include:
Becoming more strategic in your role and building confidence in your decisions.
Managing relationships with founders and CEOs.
Navigating difficult conversations.
Growing your own business and positioning yourself and your services.
Leading teams, projects and change and finding your own leadership style.
Simply having the space to thinkout loud.
attention
Time to put some focus back on yourself.
Clarity
See each part of what you do in a fresh light with new energy.
Flow
Feel more confident and in control in your role.
Reliability
I’ll pull up a virtual chair and sit beside you! Helping you when you need it most.
Support that fits the way you work.
What mentoring looks like.
This isn’t coaching and it isn’t consulting.
Think of it as having an experienced operations professional in your corner.
Someone to help you think through challenges, share perspective, ask the questions you haven’t considered, and help you see situations more clearly.
Mentoring is less about giving you a framework and more about helping you develop your judgement.
the support that changes everything
The difference it makes.
Over time, you’ll become more confident in your thinking, your decisions and your ability to navigate complexity—without constantly second-guessing yourself.
The goal isn’t for you to rely on me.
It’s for you to become the kind of operations professional that founders trust, businesses rely on, and you feel proud to be.
Always evolving.
The best operations professionals never stop learning.
Not because they don’t know enough, but because they know there’s always another perspective, another approach or another way of thinking.
Mentoring gives you the space to think out loud, sense-check ideas, learn from someone who’s been there, and continue growing in a role that’s constantly evolving. You don’t have to figure every challenge out on your own.

How it works.
Every mentoring relationship is different because every person, role and business is different.
Rather than following a fixed programme, we’ll shape our conversations around what’s most valuable to you. Sometimes that means working through an immediate challenge. Other times, it means stepping back to think about the bigger picture.
The aim is always the same: to help you grow in confidence, develop your judgement, your leadership and become a stronger operations professional.
We’ll decide the finer details when we begin, but each package has weekly calls together as a foundation.
#01
Getting to know you
Our first few conversations are about understanding where you are now and where you’d like to go.
We’ll talk about your role, your business or clients, the challenges you’re navigating and what you want to gain from mentoring.
This gives us a strong foundation and helps ensure every conversation is relevant, practical and focused on what matters most to you.
#02
Thinking through the real work
This is where mentoring really comes to life.
You’ll bring the conversations, questions and situations you’re dealing with, and we’ll work through them together.
That might mean preparing for a difficult conversation, navigating a client challenge, thinking strategically about your role, exploring a decision you’re wrestling with or simply creating space to reflect.
No two sessions are ever quite the same because no two weeks are ever quite the same.
#03
Growing with confidence
As we continue working together, you’ll start to notice a shift.
The questions become easier to answer.
The decisions feel less daunting.
You trust your judgement more, communicate with greater confidence and begin approaching challenges with a different perspective.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is mentoring for?
This mentoring is for Directors of Operations, PA’s, online business managers, operations managers, and virtual assistants moving into a more strategic role, and business owners who want support with the way they work, lead and grow.
Whether you’re building your own business, stepping into a bigger role with clients, or looking to become more confident in your decision-making, mentoring gives you space to think through challenges, explore opportunities and create a clearer direction.
How is mentoring different from consulting or coaching?
Mentoring is built around experience, perspective and having someone alongside you who understands the journey.
Rather than giving you a set formula to follow, mentoring gives you the opportunity to talk through real situations, gain insight from someone who has been there, and get support navigating decisions around clients, operations, leadership, confidence and business growth.
It’s a space to ask questions, challenge your thinking and work through what’s next.
I’m not sure I’m “experienced enough”. Is mentoring right for me?
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start.
Many of the people I mentor are highly capable and experienced, but they’re at a point where they’re moving into a new level of responsibility, taking on bigger clients, building their own business or wanting to feel more confident in their expertise.
Sometimes the biggest shift comes from having someone help you see what you already know, and where you’re ready to grow.
I’m busy — will mentoring just become another thing on my to-do list?
The purpose of mentoring is to help you create more clarity, not more pressure.
The conversations are designed to help you prioritise what matters, make decisions more easily and move forward with confidence rather than adding more things you feel you should be doing.
Do I need to be a Virtual Assistant or OBM to work with you?
Not at all.
While many people I support come from an operations, VA or OBM background, mentoring is also valuable for anyone who supports business owners, manages projects, leads teams or wants to develop a stronger understanding of business operations.
If you’re someone who wants to become more confident, strategic and intentional in the way you work, this could be a good fit.
How often do we meet?
Mentoring is designed to give you consistent support without adding another overwhelming commitment to your calendar.
The format depends on the mentoring option we decide on, but typically includes regular conversations where we can review what’s happening, work through challenges and focus on the areas that will have the biggest impact.
What happens during a mentoring session?
There’s no rigid agenda or checklist to work through.
We’ll use our time together to focus on what’s most valuable for you, whether that’s talking through a current challenge, preparing for a difficult conversation, exploring a new opportunity or looking at how you can improve the way you work.
You’ll leave with clarity, ideas and practical next steps.
How do I know if we’re the right fit?
The best mentoring relationships are built on trust, honesty and openness.
If you’re someone who wants to learn, reflect, challenge yourself and grow — while having someone in your corner who understands the realities of running a business or supporting ambitious founders — we’ll likely work well together.
If you’re unsure, get in touch and we can have a conversation about where you are and what support would be most helpful.
