3 Ways to Up Level Your Business

Productivity

Get the inside scoop:

Q3 is upon us, and as we settle into the second half of the year, now can be the perfect time to look at where you could upgrade parts of your business to make it run more smoothly and simply.

Sometimes the summer months can be a quieter time too, which makes now the perfect time to make some changes behind the scenes.

To help you simplify this summer, I am sharing my three favourite ways to up level your business.  Goodbye overwhelm, hello headspace!

Review your tech stack

Your tech stack is the software and tools you use to run your business.  You’ll have been adding to this since you started your business. You may have swapped and changed platforms a few times, but you may also have various things still sitting there that you don’t use, or you’re holding on to for sentimental reasons that no longer serve you!

Review what platforms you use and ask:

  1. What foundational functions do you need your business to perform?
  2. Do the platforms you use support those functions?
  3. Are you on the correct plan for platforms you use?
  4. Are you struggling on the free plan when actually if you upgraded it would make life so much easier (remember – freebies will only get you so far….!)
  5. Are you using more than one platform that does the same thing?

Look at how efficiently you’re using each platform too, is it still worth your time for the impact or simplicity it brings to your business?   Could you change to a slightly more expensive software that would make life so much easier?

You might feel some resistance around all of this, but investment in the correct platforms and software can make such a big improvement to you and your business.  It’s a blind spot but one I urge you to uncover.

It’s time to get back some time

What could you outsource that would give you back 5 or 10 hours a month?

Blog writing, bookkeeping, social media, graphic design, podcast editing?  The list could go on!

You might not think you are at the right stage in your business to outsource, and it can be tricky to switch up your mindset to think that even though you are spending money outsourcing tasks will actually make you more productive, and give you more time to work on revenue generating activities to ultimately increase your turnover, and move you closer to your business goals.

My advice here is to start small and slowly to build your confidence with outsourcing. And if you do take the leap, it will probably be one of those things you wish you had done sooner – I know it was for me!

Work on being the best you can be

Are you delivering at your very best right now?  Are there ways that you deliver your services that you could make better to add more value, a better experience, or that taps into what you enjoy delivering even more.

Don’t get stuck in a rut with your own services.  I’m not suggesting you need to suddenly go and pivot but there might be some tweaks you can make to your onboarding, offboarding, welcome packs or general ongoing love for your clients?

Save some of this love for you!  To be at your best for your business, you need to do the best for yourself.  Take some time for you (which you might have more of if you outsource 😉 ) to work on your personal development, do that course you wanted to do that you know will help you with your business goals, or do something totally different.

I’d love to know how you’re going to up level your business, head on over to Instagram and let me know!
