How A Virtual Assistant Works

A virtual assistant (typically abbreviated to VA) is an entrepreneur who provides professional administration, technical, or creative assistance to clients from a home office. [Source: Wikipedia]

Firstly, it’s important to say that working with a virtual assistant, or VA, is very different to employing someone.  It’s better.  It is more of a flexible collaboration than a 9-5 office relationship.

VAs work from a fully equipped home office and support clients predominantly via email and telephone. This doesn’t mean I’m inaccessible, and I’m happy meet, in person or ‘virtually’ on Skype, and review work or discuss new ways of supporting you and your business.  I’m also self-employed and running a business therefore I understand how they work, and the challenges faced by small business owners.

The Benefits

  • Get rid of the tasks that stop you doing what you do best, working in the business you set up.
  • Save money by spending more time on fee-earning tasks.
  • Spend more time working on your business in a different way; not on administration but on planning, marketing, and growing your client base.
  • A VA offers professional, high-class administration and personal assistant skills on tap, therefore enhancing your business image to clients.
  • Create a better work life balance.
The virtual assistance I offer is flexible and tailored to suit you, whether you need ongoing support or just help with a specific project. Each client will require something different. It is paramount that the assistance is tailored to what you want and what you need.  I also recognise that successful businesses don’t stay still for long, and therefore the work and the services I can provide can change as your business needs change.
